Pet Vaccinations & Parasite Control at Seaport Animal Hospital

Pet vaccinations and parasite control play an extremely important role in maintaining your dog’s or cat’s health and preventing the most serious or common diseases. Seaport Animal Hospital adheres to recommended guidelines for vaccination, and flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.  Our veterinary preventive care is tailored to each dog’s and cat’s individual needs since some of our patients rarely leave the house, yet other travel with their owners all over the world.

 Dog Vaccines

• Distemper / Infectious Hepatitis/ Adenovirus / Parvovirus are given as one injection
• Leptospirosis
• Lyme Disease (borreliosis)
• Bordetella bronchiseptica & Parainfluenza (the major causes of "kennel cough" even though in NYC these viruses are most commonly acquired on the street and at dog runs and not necessarily at kennels)
• Rabies is required by law in NYC

 Cat Vaccines

• Feline Rhinotracheitis (herpes) Virus / Calici-virus / Panleukopenia (distemper)are given as one injection
• Feline leukemia virus (twice as kittens only)
• Rabies
