Dr. Erika Luzuriaga has joined the Downtown Veterinary Medical Hospital Family as Seaport Animal Hospital's full-time veterinarian. Dr. Luzuriaga obtained a degree in political science at Columbia University and enrolled in the pre-veterinary program at Mercy College shortly after graduation. After obtaining her BS and LVT certification, Dr. Luzuriaga completed her veterinary studies at Ross University and Oklahoma State University. Dr. Luzuriaga's clinical interests include ophthalmology, wound management and preventative medicine. In her free time, she enjoys dining out, movie premieres, walking her island rescue dog, Betsy, and spending time with her family, including her two cats, Mishu and Momma.
